First off TW, congrats. Will you sleep with her tonight. To the quote, You have to Know one to love them. What drew you to this thread? Was it fate? I can see it now in a month or so, We'll be congratulating Ledbetter, better hurry, they are going up and drying up.

Just been hearing a lot about them, and if I find an extra 100$ I might buy one.... But I have a big list of others first!

The action has a little slop, but slides pretty smoothly, and locks up tight. I'll have to do a range report now. The only problem I am having with it is getting the bayonet to fit. I have it where it will go most of the way to the end of the slot (the first slot, not the second one that lets it turn). I think the hole is slightly too small for the barrel to fit through. How should I enlarge that hole?

It will be the best $15 you ever spent. Just remember to sign up for the goat, and watch out for WoC. She has been teaching the goat how to fight and shoot.

Yep, she'll be sleeping next to the bed tonight.

Best advice I could give you for the bayo is to just carefully dremel it out 'til it fits right. They were designed to stay affixed to the gun, not so much for on and off. I've yet to shoot mine with the bayo attached, supposedly it does better as far as accuracy goes, something to do with barrel harmonics...or so I've read in a couple of places. I'm not good enough of a shot to spot a difference like that and I'm afraid if I put in on snug that I won't be able to get it off to fit in the safe without a hammer and prybar...

I see I'm not the only one who got a sling covered in goo!!

Well I picked up my mosi this Wednesday, cleaned her all up, worked on the barrel which is not counter bored, clean crown. Fired the first two rounds this evening, one by me and one by my 15 year old. She's loud and the kick wasn't as bad as I expected. Already thinking about another. This one is a 1942 and all numbers match. Damn best $89 I ever spent for a piece of history. Time to order a couple cans of the cheap stuff.
