Yeah, the election is what I think the problem is.

It won't load for some reason, looks like a different window on the attachment thingy...lemme try one more time...there we go...my first MN, 1940 Tula. Not a matching number to be found, shoots great, the stock is laminated and pristine, not a ding, dent, scratch or mark on it. Couldn't believe it was in such good shape...(The stock...I have yet to pull a totally clean patch out of the bbl)

Now thats a sexy looking gun.

The ad on their site said that their latest shipment of 91/30 (round recievers) was some of the best they had ever seen. I hope they really do look that good.

One of my Boys and his boys brought me a 91/30 Mosin with all the extras and I love it ! Perfect in every way except the bayonet which I put up and don't presently (? I hope) need...Mine came to me clean as a hound's tooth, no cosmoline to clean up, blueing was great, and stock and stock finish great, also. And speaking of teeth, I'd like to pick up a Mosin sniper scope and mount and bolt but dollars are scarce as "hen's teeth" around here with gasoline & diesel costs what they are ! Perhaps later....

I hear the mosin snipers are sweet guns. (you just have to watch out for the ones put together by bubba (aka, the ones put together by unskilled workers that the importer hires). The bubba sniper is about $300. The real sniper is about $700 )
I was looking into the scope and mount too, but decided to just keep the rifle origional.

No problem.

Ouch.

I think I have already been bitten by the Mosin bug. I havent even got it yet, and I'm already wanting a M38, M44, M28/30, and a Remington 1916 Nagant.
You will know for sure that you are bitten when you start on your second case of them.

Fantastic firearm. I own a 91/30, and am currently looking for a carbine variant.

Yep it's a easy gun to get addicted to.

Sweet. Try looking at an M44. Their pretty neat guns, and the bayonet is permanently attached and just folds to the side of the gun (I'm not sure how much they cost though). The Chinese type 53 is simular. It runs about $150, and IIRC, they have the folding bayonet too.

Well, they took money out of my account on Sat, so I take that as a sign they shipped it. It should be here any day now.

Well, I couldn't find any ammo locally, so I just ordered a spam can from Cope's. It should be here any day.
