You are so right about that, Trip put the bayonet on his mosin last weekend, that thing is almost 6' tall with it on. The bayonet itself is a cruel instrument, it starts as the longest straight bladed screwdriver I've ever seen. It rapidly flares to a four sided piece of evil metal. It would be very hard to stitch a wound from it. I thought the Geneva Convention had language in it as no army is to use a bayonet that had multiple sided blades?
C3, am I mistaken on that?

You are right. If you tuck it in tight it doesn't hurt. Just don't let it get a 2" head start to your collar bone.

Now I just have to play my least favorite game of all, the waiting game. Any ideas how long it should take to ship?
What did they charge you for shipping?

Congrats on the Mosin...just beware of their propensity to multiply.

BTW, does anyone else notice the irony of thousands of Americans exercising their rights by purchasing rifles once used by Communists to deny them to others...

It's going though UPS Ground, so it should be $20-$25. Between the cost of the gun, the shipping, and the transfer, it comes out to about $130. Not bad for a rifle in good condition with all the bells and whistles. Plus, that is cheaper then one would be around here (if there were any around here). Between the 4 gun shops around here, no one has had one in a while. There was one guy who has transfered a few, but not many.

Yeah, I was watching some videos on it, and a guy stood up next to a mosin with the bayonet on. It was taller then him. I'm venturing to say that this would be the worse home defense gun ever unless you live in one big open room.

I think I have already been bitten by the Mosin bug. I havent even got it yet, and I'm already wanting a M38, M44, M28/30, and a Remington 1916 Nagant.

Only if the room was as large as the Grand Canyon!
