Well got it apart once i had 15 free mins...look like that thing may be broken i pushed it from bottom and it goes all the way through the recess any pics of what that plunger stoper thing looks like when disassembled?

I'll try and post one for you.. I've begun reassembling the rifle but due to some issues with screws, it's on hold till the parts come in. I'll pull it apart and post a picture. From what you've described though, it appears that the bolt release plunger is bad.. We'll see soon enough though.

Any idea what that piece is called so i can order it?...on a side note i've been thinking of replacing the stock and butt pad assembly and was wondering if those are specific to the gun ie serial numbered or not...if they are id just refurbish whats original

The part is called a Bolt Release (look at the schematic posted earlier).. you should be able to get the part from Numrichs..

Might be good to order all three of those parts.. They are not expensive. The parts you need are on the last page of the link I sent you. As far as replacing the stock and butt plate assy, the stock parts are most times numbered to the rifle (at least my rifles are).. as well as the butt plate assy's. No reason you can't replace them if you really want to. If they're not damaged, I'd try to keep the rifle as original as possible..
