Thanks for the heads up. Unfortunately, C&R or not, handguns have to go to an FFL in Commiefornia. Some company's won't even ship a gun to CA. __________________ Ineptocracy (in-ep-toc’-ra-cy) - a system of government where those least capable of leadership are elected by those least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to succeed or provide for themselves are rewarded with goods and services paid for by wealth confiscated from a diminishing number of people who actually work and produce.

It's just another reason to leave California. The C&R is federal, so it will be good in Oregon which is apparently still part of the United States. California is damn near being a despotic third world country.

Hey, any constitution that acknowledges the people have a right to own weapons so that they may defend themselves -- including from an out-of-control government -- is OK by me...bkt

People get the government they deserve. |

It's a "Curio & Relic" collectors license. It essentially allows the licensee to purchase C&R firearms without going through an FFL. Essentially C&R pertains to most firearms over fifty years old.
Here's some info from Wikipedia Dune:

Haha counting the days... 254 still.
My question is, can I walk into say big 5, and walk out with a Mosin, Garand or other such beauty? __________________ ------------Space Not for Hire.----------- |

Well, DUH! Ya gotta PAY THEM for it!
But yes, you can. It is a transfer from one FFL (theirs) to another (yours) The 03 C&R IS a FFL. Matter of fact, I just did that. The sum total of the paperwork is: Take a copy of my license out of my wallet, sign it, hand it to them along with my ID, and payment. Take rifle. Go home. Enter data on rifle in my "bound volume".
Most fun an old man can have for $30 that does not involve a risk of catching something embarassing. That is the fee for a 3 year license. __________________ What we have heah is.... failure to communicate. |

Soon as i turn 21, C&R, Mosin, Garand, and a rock island commander , heck yeah!
EDIT: Even if I am gonna have to wait for the RIA __________________ ------------Space Not for Hire.----------- |
