The Pattern 17 Rifle saw use in WWI and WWII. The Pattern 14 Rifles are seldom seen these days.

Really nice rifle! My LGS has an Eddystone for sale that I've been thinking about adding to my collection.

Great rifle!!! My buddy has a 1917 manufacture. They kind of screwed up when it was manufactured. The barrel is .303 for the P14 and the chamber is .30-06 spec. He handloads for it. It is the only .303-06 I've ever seen. My old FFL sold it to a guy and he proply returned it claiming it was shot out. The rifling was very strong so I took a cast of the chamber and slugged the barrel. Sure enough, A 1917 w/ a 1914 barrel.
