Default field find pistol

My buddy found this stuck on on of his farm impliments while dragging it through the field. It still has 4 unfired rounds in the chamber

That's awesome! Hang it on the wall, or stick it on the shelf. I'd ask who the maker was, but I think that would be a little out of the question. Any ideas about what caliber it was?

That sounds about right. I think they also had a .36 back then too.

I feel bad for the guy who ended up on the business end of that. Screw the double tap, quadruple tap is the way to go.

Guess the obvious question is how the hell did it get out there, was it in someone's pocket when it was "lost." Better not dig too deep, never know what else may be under the ground...

It was a rotary hoe so it doesnt dig very deep. My guess a previous land owner or farm hand lost it as it may have fallen out of a pocket while on a tractor or walking the field
