The only reason I'm not an Australian is because my ancestors were faster runners than yours.

But some of the slower member of my clan do live in Tasmania.

Good to see an Aussie amoung the Enfield collectors.

Cheers.

Mate I'm going to steal that Breaker Morant pic of yours it's a pearler .

Relo's in Tassie eh? You haven't by any chance had any weird growths cut off your shoulders have you as Tasmanians are regarded as having 2 heads and sheep molesterers here much like the Kiwi's.
Ancestors figured it wasn't worth running 2 much further as they found Paradise here and it was far enough away from the POMS and every other country.

The .303's hold a special place here and in New Zealand and every ANZAC Day there are parades where the gun salute is done using blanks and firing .303's.
For what they are they've accounted for a lot of game here in Australia from rabbits upto Buffalo(not really recommended though) and the Aussie forum I'm a member of(AHN Hunting) has quite a few SMLE collectors and user's as well plus a few BP freaks that shoot Sniders,Martini's etc in competition and some hunting.

Jpattersonnh, mate that is the real deal and if you look on the bottom of the stubbie it says 2 litres(nearly a gallon of beer in old speak).
You blokes should save your pennies and come over to Aussie for a hunt and a few quiet beers. We can get you plastered on proper beer, get you a crack at rabbits, deer pigs, goats, foxes, camels donkeys, horses(feral),feral cats,Banteng cattle and Buffalo.

If you want to fish we can also fix that too, come on fellas the offer's there, regards

What a nice fellow! My Grand dads cousin was John Henry Patterson. Crazy MF.
Lord Byron is also hanging in my tree. I'd give you a run for your money on the pint end, but can't afford $7000.00 to go drinking. Is it true, no hip boots in Tasmania? JP

BTW, that is sarcasm, something us folks do. (The Iron)

Yep, know that, good to see you blokes can cop it and give it as well.

Hope I didn't come across as insulting as that wasn't meant to be.There is a very healthy competitive streak between Australia and NZ in cricket,Rugby League,Rugby Union matter of fact any form of competition but there's also a lot of respect as well.
The Haka is a stirring thing when done by the Kiwi's,definately worth seeing in real time.

Tasmania has produced some fine cricketers and AFL players as well and has some good Trout fishing and hunting.
The movie star Errol Flynn was a Tasmanian as well.

$7000,you say, wow,it's certainly cheaper from this end I think as I think the $Aus is worth something like $1.05 US atm.
