Lets see some pics. Maybe that will help pin it down. Closeup of the lock markings if you can. BTW original Enfield hammers do have scroll work above the shank. Yes most guns issued during the C.W. were rifled except for some of the flintlock conversions early on. Perhaps I should have said rifle musket which is the proper term.

it's an afghani replica ,I am sorry that I cant show pictures of the enfield rifles I had, the crown and the "ENFIELD" marking are different compared to the original marks , the crown looks hand engraved
