Desperately Looking For An M48 Yugo Firing Pin And Spring

I recently got a Yugo M48 for real cheap, but apparently the former owner put in a K98 firing pin and spring, and it's too long. I just spent 3 hours on the Internet looking for the parts, but they are either all sold out, or just don't have them. I looked at all the obvious places, like Numrich, TGP, buymilsurp. All sold out. I even went to all the online gun seller auction places, no joy. Does anybody know of any place that has them in stock, or possible have an extra they might sell me from their parts stashes?

Maybe you should upgrade to one of the springy pins?

similarly springy from bigger name

I am somewhat ignorant on things like this. But cant you file down the pin to the correct length?

gandog56 09-15-2012 08:03 AM

Probably, but I would really rather replace with the correct parts.

Well that and I have not the tools to even attempt it, having all the mechanical abilities of a rotten orange.

You might find a friend to do it for you. The firing pin needs to be filed by hand, no grinders. A grinder will ruin the temper of the metal.

Also when doing a search for M48 YUGO PARTS...check M24/47 mauser parts also,as I think they both have the intermediate actions the M24/47 firing pin/spring should work in the m48.
