Default Can anyone ID this gun?

I inherited a rifle; have no idea what it is. Can anyone tell me what this is?

I agree.

SA, there should be Swiss shield on the receiver, should have been able to identify it that way. Didn't see a pic of the receiver.

Link to Swiss models: http://www.swissrifles.com/sr/index.html

It might be a different model, I'm guessing on the 1911 a little bit.

I remember when I was a teenager in the mid 60's the local Coast to Coast store
had these in barrels. $5 or so for functional, maybe $8 for select grade.

Nope... It's Swiss (as others have confirmed as well). I would've had trouble with the ID past that, but luckily others knew more than me about the swiss firearms.

A few dealers have offered some other swiss bolt actions recently, for around $100. Cheap for the rifle, but the ammo will be harder to find (odd swiss sizes).
