Default C&R license

So I sent my paperwork into the ATF for my C&R license today. How long does it usually take for them to process? Hoping to find some good deals on cool old guns.

Depends on their work load. If you paid with a check watch for it to clear.

It will be at minimum one month.

Can you buy surplus ammo online with a C&R license?

I've bought bulk ammo online before so you don't need the C&R for that, just collectible firearms.

ATF is running just shy of 90 days.

As said, C&R is not needed to buy ammo.

When you get it, DO NOT SIGN IT. Make copies, sign them before you send them out.

Prepare to stay broke but happy. Be sure to set up a "bound volume" to record weapons you acquire and dispose of.
