The Boers seemed to over power the British with a bunch of Mausers... Isnt that why they designed the P14?
Really, I keed, I keed... I like all the mil-surps, its just fun to poke fun at you silly Mosin People...
I have the No.1 Mk. III so the whole outta headspace thing worries me. I dont think its as easy to fix as the No.4's
Waaaaay too many people over think the whole headspace thing. Want to know a real dirty way to check it? Unscrew the bolt head and remove the extractor. Next put 3 layers of 3m masking tape on the head of a dummy cartridge.(just pull out the bullet with a pair of pliers). Next screw the bolt head back on and re-insert the bolt into the rifle. Very gently try to close the bolt. Once you feel resistance stop. If the handle of the underside of the bolt is more than .050 though from the receiver (basically not touching) your headspace is fine. Like I said that is a dirty way to check. *I take no responsibility what you do with this info*.
Be careful who's toes you step on today....'cause they could be connected to the a** you need to kiss tomorrow.
