The C-96 and the variants are even more fun if you actually shoot them. These are a few that I shoot and reload for.

Nice C-96s Nitestalker; I've shot modern 7.63mm (Fiocchi if I remember right) and vintage Czech and German 7.63mm. No Tokorev ammo thought. I've also shot my WWI Prussian Army Contract Red 9.

Beautiful pistols!! I have never seen one up close, do those load from the top via the stripper clips shown in one of the pictures?

Yes you can load with a stripper, that is the easy way. Loading single rounds thru the top is OK, more difficult. The 7.63 X 25 stuff is Ok. The 7.62 X 25 can be risky as you know. This ammo is sometimes Sub-Gun ammo and runs pressures 20% above "Tok" ammo.
I have had some 7.62 X 25 do some scary things in a C-96. I just purchased 2,500 rounds of Sub-Gun for my CZ-52. I reload for the C-96 "Brooms". The C-96 pistols were popular "Cowboy" guns around the turn of the 19th century. The SBR rules of 1935 discouraged ownership of these fine Mausers.
