Anyone ever compiled a list of places to send your C&R's for discounts etc??
I've looked but have not seen one, if it exists would someone please point me in the right direction?
Seems like it would be really helpful to have a master list of the places that give discounts, specials etc. to C&R holders. I know I'd use it. Thanks. |

Southern Ohio guns Aim J&g sales Century arms Brownells Numeric I am sure there are more that I can't remember. Never really put a list together but that would be a good idea and I should try to put one together for later reference. |

Thanks to all, this could be a good thing to have for anyone with a C&R.
One more question, in California, to buy a gun from another C&R collector in the state, you have to have a "Letter of Compliance" or something like that? I had to get Live Scanned, it goes to the DOJ and ATF etc. Some don't want that info out there but I don't care, I want the right to walk into a gun shop and buy a C&R gun on the spot and this gives me that right. I don't know if any other states use this but it's done here. I'm still waiting for it to come in the mail. Like all this paperwork, it takes forever. This Live Scan stuff is really taking over. I have to have it for my license for my business and I have to go back and do the whole thing over again. Seems like the DOJ part was around 80 bucks and the ATF was less. Still not cheap. It's a full electronic scan of all your fingerprints. I'm sure it's been discussed here before. Things are not getting easier. Invasive is the word that comes to mind. |
Yeah Bruce... California's crazy. I'm pretty much relegating myself to having rifles shipped to the door, and If I want to buy handguns, I guess i'll just Drive out to AZ or some such thing. The list I have access to is in excel format, and I didn't make it. I'm going to email the guy that made it and clear it with him before I post it.
