You DO realize that book is a work of "fiction" right?
well yes and no its historical fiction so theres a lot of useful information in it and its not like you can just make stuff up about guns in a novel like that (well yea i guess you could but it would be knocked by alot of people and not alot of people would buy it) anyways....
Just kiddin. I'm working on my ammo supply. Bought 14 surplus ammo cans from a local warehouse store (Mills Fleet Farm), sanded them down, sprayed them w/two coats of O.D. Green Rustoleum. Half are the 50 cal boxes, half the smaller boxes. They look great----just wish they were full, but will work on that.

sure...i'd share my ammo (if need be)...as for filling the ammo cans go...it doesnt take as long as ya think...unless you shoot 5k rds in a weekend,every weekend...i have shot close to that amount one weekend,but i had help. course your ammo cans will fill up faster if you reload ammo too
do you have the original stripper clips for that?? the ones the drop out of the bottom on the last shot?? cuz those r rare just sayin and so is the 6.5 ammo
i had about 50 or so of them....sold 40 of 'em on evilbay...the prices of them things are crazy...i also have some milsurplus ammo...some goes bang...some goes click...i'll just stick to reloads for this rifle....i've heard that the rifles need a .268 cal bullet....not the more common .264...this is why they get a bad rep. not being accurate...both of mine shoot the .264 bullets just fine?
