A great big plus 1 on that. But it is the OP's choice if he goes against any advise offered.

Yeah I'm gonna get one through the CMP. Building one will be too much. Thank you all for all your input, help, and advice!

Im still disappointed by the CMP.... I jumped though all the hoops to get a International Harvester Garand, and they ended up not even getting any....

Man that stinks. I didn't realize how picky the CMP was. My Garand Collectors Association membership run out a few months ago, I was surprised they didn't honor NRA members as a member of an affiliated club. But I was happy with the GCA, the seasonal magazines which were pretty interesting.

Well I was shocked to see that he took it off armslist which means he realized that he has an absolute POS or he sold that absolute POS. I'm pretty sure I ticked him off by telling him that what he has is unrepairable. Oh well. I feel sorry for the poor soul that bought it...

I had looked it up on Armslist as well. He could sell it still as a "parts gun only" or he could strip it down and part it out.

Yeah he could get a good $200 in parts cause the bolt and trigger group was still usable. But that's about all it was good for. If the receiver was untouched than I would've bought it.
