32-20 S&W Hand Eject
This is a gun my sister has that belonged to her deceased husband. She is passing it on to me for safe keeping. I cannot wait to get it. I have seen it once for a few minutes and it needs a good cleaning. But over all it is great shape. Bluing, I am guessing, is 95% +.
Here is a picture:http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/m...L/DSC_0836.jpg There are 3 initials placed on either side of the frame. I need to know if she knows whose they are. I am guessing it will be her husband's father. But mainly, now, it is a family gun to treasure. Tigerbeetle |
Always nice to have a family treasure that is also useful.

I went to a gun show today and picked up a box of low pressure rounds for it. I was surprised to find out Remington is making the cartridge again in the express format for the .32-20 rifle. Maybe it is for the cowboy action league or something. The M&P Hand eject after about 1918 or so had the cylinders heat treated to withstand the higher pressure of the rifle ammunition.
