Default 1954 Romanian M44

Have a chance at a '54 Romanian M44. The stock is kinda banged up but not terribly bad. All numbers match except the bolt. Bore looks good. Comes with no cleaning rod and "Tons of ammo" (per the current owner). I talked him into $60 for the gun and ammo. Go or No?

GO!! you can find a cleaning rod, and the wood ain't too good on most of these anyway, just too many years.

Sounds like a great deal. A cleaning rod should not be hard to find. They appear on ebay all the time. Surplus ammo will be corrosive, so be sure to clean appropriately.

I thought it was a good deal. I have a '53 Hungarian already. Figured when I bought this one, I'd put it through it's paces and maybe give it to my little brother. I have a video of him shooting mine on here.
