Default 1937 kz 98

This is my friend and fellow hunter's Mauser 98. It did see action against US forces.

Very nice. I saved enough $ to get one just as the dealer market dried up last year. Now the K98's are on the secondary market and twice the price.
I was fortunate to snag a Walther P38 from 1944.

The WWII Walther P-38 can be an indifferent creature when it comes to accuracy. They can be greatly improved with the .38 Super bullets. The Post-War P-38 German Police pistols are very accurate with any 9MM ammo. This is a WWII "CYQ" and a Post- War German Police pistol with the steel take down rod dated 1985.
Is the KZ coded Mdl. 98 a special find for you? I was not aware of this being a rare Mauser? Please up date me on the "KZ"?

Top, WWII "CYQ
Bottom, 1985 German Police "P-1" AKA P-38.

What is all the glossy crap on the stock? He was to take care to the deposits, pitting along the stock line. BTW, There is no KZ. K98k was the last. It is most likely initials. Trench art?
