Does anyone know what book is pictured here? http://pics.gunbroker.com/GB/190712000/190712623/pix798186966.jpg

I would like information from what I presume would be the next page in that book on the 1861 Navy Original Metallic Cartridge.

Could it possibly be this one?

Hmm, is that just about the cartridges rather than the guns? This book seems to detail the specific guns rather than their ammunition.

Got it! Dennis Russell helped me out here. It's from A Study of Colt Conversions and Other Percussion Revolvers by R. Bruce McDowell. Kind of pricey and out of print, but I might look to see if a library could help me out!

Just a quick update. There will be a little one page feature in the "New Discoveries" section of the next issue of the CCA's "Rampant Colt" magazine on our gun. The thanks included in that article to everyone who helped with it includes everyone here at Firearms Talk.

After it's published, I'll poke my nose around to see if anyone else has some thoughts, or to try to answer any questions people may have!

That's wonderful daroga! This has been quite a quest. Congratulations and thanks for the update.
