I have powder coated 2 firearms with no issue. Well no issue but the wife being mad because I baked them in the oven. One was a rimfire and the other is an 870 no chipping or even heavy wear.

Can't be. Powder coatings way to thick. Even for a loose gun, I bet it would jamb it up. You also can't PC anything that can't take the cure temps. 350 deg, isn't it?
