Using super glue as a wood finish

Trad bow guys use CA in thick and thin for various related projects/items.
Had a riser where a void popped up along a phenolic strip. Used thin to fix that (took a couple of apps to eventually fill it in), been 3 or 4 yrs and it's still going strong.
For riser finish (I tend to mod risers for better grip and centershot) I use the old Outers Gunslick stock finish stuff (no longer made).
