Default Stevens model 258A restoration

I got motivated to start my own restoration from looking at DIYGuys posts. I was going to do a mossberg model 190 but decided to do this because it was rough, so here it is so far. Mind you I haven't done one before.imageuploadedbyfirearms-talk1398394470.920736.jpgimageuploadedbyfirearms-talk1398394496.056991.jpgimageuploadedbyfirearms-talk1398394521.160293.jpgimageuploadedbyfirearms-talk1398394550.123554.jpgimageuploadedbyfirearms-talk1398394589.490190.jpgimageuploadedbyfirearms-talk1398394616.489824.jpgimageuploadedbyfirearms-talk1398394646.648926.jpgimageuploadedbyfirearms-talk1398394692.945009.jpgimageuploadedbyfirearms-talk1398394720.222297.jpgimageuploadedbyfirearms-talk1398394776.098668.jpg

I got the stock stained and all the metal blued tonight. I will post pics tomorrow. Waiting on a new firing pin, new trigger spring, trigger pin, safety prawl and pin and spring, new buttplate, and pins for the bolt, and screws. Should be in the mail tomorrow or the next day then I can put it all together.

Still waiting on the pins and springs for the bolt, and a few screws. Also have to make a front sight. When I get it done done, I will upload a final couple pics.

Very nice, How did you make that crack disappear?
Just got a 258a recently and started to refinish it. Was found in the back of an old garage, the metal wasn't quite as as bad as yours, but the wood is worse, seems to be cleaning up nicely so far.
