So my brother got a new stock for his rem 700 270 to replace his cracked original. I ordered a new one from numrich and have a question. Does(or did) remington change the style of sling studs at anytime? His old stock had a very course thread stud. The new stock has a very small opening. Its a synthetic stock so im sure i could open it up to accept what i have but would like to stay original if possible. Im still massaging the stock to fit his gun so i have a little while before i get to that.
