Default Reloading question

I have an 1889 Schmidt-rubin. I would like to reload (though I have my reservations about doing it). The gp90 ammo is 7.5x53. Would it be possible to use 7.65x53 argentine brass? I have plenty of that. I chambered an empty case and the pin strikes and ejects no problem.
