pellet gun into airsoft
i know this is a firearm forum, but a airgun is a arm so i was wondering if i could get a .22 cal air rifle and shoot airsoft pellets through it. if not how could i get a pump up daisy powerline and make it airsoft.

No. Airsoft pellets (the smallest) are about .243. Also airsoft is designed to shoot slower and lower energy so as to NOT produce injury.
If you want airsoft, go BUY an airsoft. |
yeah pretty much... modifying airsoft and pellet guns may be harder than modifying regular guns because of the lack of demand. Like c3shooter said, your better off just buying an airsoft. Plus most airsofts are cheaper I think

i know but i spent a $130 on a sniper airsoft and about a month later, piece of crap broke. i was ticked, so i wanted to use a powerline since they last forever, or longer than most bb guns i guess.

Ahh... That explains the weirdness... makes a little sense when you think about it. It could probably be done, but still would take a lot more than it's worth I think. you'd probably still be better off getting a new airsoft, or getting in contact with the manufacturer and see if they will do anything. Or you could get into paintballing instead, it costs more but there is a difference in the quality of the hardware, and the guns are repairable.

Air Soft versus pellet gun.
I have an air soft gun and when stray dogs come up around our house bothering our dogs I use it on them because they only shoot at around 400 fps also they are not hard hitting so I am not trying to kill them. Then I ordered a Benjamin Trail NP XL that shoots heavier pellets in .177 at 1,500 fps, and 24 ft.-lbs with a so called silencer which does some damage. No comparison between the 2 guns since the new pellet rifles use a Nitro Piston instead of a spring or pump like the older pellet rifles which Gamo has some that shoot at 1,000 fps. The only thing I don’t like is cocking the new pellet gun at cocking effort of 38 to 40 lbs gets old fast.

I wouldn't have any problem using a pellet gun on a stray dog. I wouldn't be trying to hit them in the eye or anything, if I wanted to kill or maim then I would use something along the lines of a 12 gauge. But a high speed pellet to the butt is a great runner offer.

I use the littlest cheapest BB gun that Daisy makes to run moose out of the yard. Works pretty good.
|
im not using it to scare stuff away im gonna use it for airsoft wars
|
yeah just get another airsoft gun then. It would be the cheapest, easiest, and safest thing to do. "you'll put an eye out"
