Looks nice, Billy. I'm also a builder Are you hand stitching, or using a machine? I'd imagine a machine, because when you saddle stitch by hand, the extra row of stitching isn't necessary. My only nitpick, and take it for what it's worth, but on your throat reinforcement, you may want to round those corners a little more next time. Over time, those will begin to fray. Great job, and keep on building. Your molding and boning look nice. I rarely touch revolvers because they're such a pain to mold.

EDIT: Upon further inspection, it looks like the corners on the reinforcement are rounded, it's just the stitching that comes to sharp point. Disregard.

Billy. I have two used and very stiff US Army 1911 holsters with the fold over flap. My semi auto is too big. Think I can follow your method and make it fit?

That IS nice. I have a hand stitcher for repairs and customizing accuterments -- I presume "a machine" is still basically one stitch at a time and not like Mom's Singer.

Billy. After looking again at my holsters I see they are not for 45acp but berreta. My semi is the large 40 S&W HiPoint which is chunky. Not sure I could stretch it that much. What do you think?

If ypu can get it within 3/8 of an inch you should be able to stretch it
