Default New DuraCoat product

I got an email from Lauer Weaponry about their new DuraCoat product. Basically, they can now supply you with a little aerosol sprayer to use instead of their cheesy little spray guns that are a major pain.

I'm gonna give it a try on my .300 Win Mag stock. I'll post before and after photos.

This should prove to be interesting. Good luck Lon.

I look forward to seeing this. I used the kit with the air brush sprayer on my CZ82. I have been pleased with the durability so far and it was inexpensive enough to be able to do it again if necessary.

Default Shake 'N Spray DuraCoat finish

I decided to try Lauer Weaponry's new Shake 'N Spray DuraCoat finish on my Savage 300 Win Mag.

Here is the after:

And here is the before:

All-in-all, for a product that only sells for $29.95, I am pretty happy with it. It took me about 20 minutes to paint the stock, compared to much longer for their kits that come with a little spray gun, which don't work very well, at least for me.

I wish I had chosen a "flat" finish as opposed to the semi-gloss shiny finish, but that was MY mistake and not Lauer's fault by any means.

I would recommend this product if you want to change the color of a synthetic stock on the cheap. It seems tough, like it will last a while. But I can't speak as to how it would perform on any of the metal finishes.

It looks better than the black stock IMHO. Let us know how it holds up.

Looks really good. Could we get a close up photo of any part of the stock?
