Well thank you all for the reminders. I feel like a (bleep) fool for not keeping my wits about me instead of being so drawn in to finally being a Poolee... Thanks for slapping my head on straight. Any new adjustments to the rifle? Also- what the heck would it classify as?

It is a NFA item which will cost a new owner some paperwork headaches and the $200 tax stamp from the ATF!

First, don't discount the military as a way of life and an avenue for free training. Probably everyone you'll ever work for is going to lie to you at some time or another.

With what you have so far, it is a full-auto bullpup. Full-auto doesn't legally need any barrel length classification so I wouldn't call it a sbr, it definitely isn't based on Stoner's design so it is not an ar. It's your baby call it what you want, and if you do ever get to the point where you are looking to build it, let the lawyers figure out the legal classification.

Another thought on ejection- with an ar style mag feeding from the bottom, it could eject to the side with about a 30-45 downward angle, and a channel in the stock that guides the spent case down and out, along the side of the mag well. Visualizing it in my head, that seems a lot easier than engineering a whole new feeding system. Though I don't see a big advantage over the normal ejection ports used on most semi-autos today.

- Steyr AUG A3 miniature of the stock (Telescoping)
- Bull pup style
- Air-cooled
- Gas operated, short-stroke piston, ambidextrous charging handle, closed bolt
- Large ghost ring sights (Removable/Folding)
- 18 inch barrel
- 9mm NATO rounds
- 50 round box magazine
- Light weight polymer body
- Progressive trigger
- Drop out ejection using a compact upward (Inverted "Super V") ejection system
- Adjustable LOP butt pad
- Smoothed edge body
- Interlocking accessory rail
- Rear grip magazine well

Seems like this might work better...

I assume the bottom ejection is for making it ambidextrous friendly. What about a variation of the G11 feeding system, but modified to work with metal casings. Or some sort of tubular magazine, you'd just have to work on the whole bullet striking the next bullet's primer issue, but maybe with enough thought.....who knows. Good luck, maybe we'll be seeing this thing on the Discovery Channel one day.

Hmmmm, maybe I can modify the G11 case-less ammunition system to where it works...
