Huge props, Cane. That was like watching a caterpillar turn into a butterfly. I bought an old model 60 last month that looks much like your starting product. I have a lot to live up to.

I hope you enjoy the re-do as much as I did!
I'm going to shoot this summer and then a re-do part deux this fall. I'm confident the stock will be OK but I'm sure the barrel will be in need of fresh paint.
All my prep work the first go-around was auto-centric with the exception of the barrel prep. This fall I will strip her down again, metal etch the barrel and apply a 2-part primer with my spray gun. With this chemical bond the topcoat should prove far more durable.
At that time I will try my hand at camouflage.

Revelation
It appears to be an old Marlin, but don't know for sure. I did shoot thousands of Revelation .22's and shotgun shells when I was a kid.
