Huge props, Cane. That was like watching a caterpillar turn into a butterfly. I bought an old model 60 last month that looks much like your starting product. I have a lot to live up to.

I hope you enjoy the re-do as much as I did!

I'm going to shoot this summer and then a re-do part deux this fall. I'm confident the stock will be OK but I'm sure the barrel will be in need of fresh paint.

All my prep work the first go-around was auto-centric with the exception of the barrel prep. This fall I will strip her down again, metal etch the barrel and apply a 2-part primer with my spray gun. With this chemical bond the topcoat should prove far more durable.

At that time I will try my hand at camouflage.

Get her dirty, then clean her so she starts to respect you. When her trust is complete, she will serve you well for a lifetime!

Default Revelation

It appears to be an old Marlin, but don't know for sure. I did shoot thousands of Revelation .22's and shotgun shells when I was a kid.

It looks great, you didn't butcher it in the least.

Oh, well that's different. From what I understand, he taught Col. Cooper everything he knew.
