Default 'derTangoplunkungun' Project total: $ 55.57

Update on the 'derTangoplunkungun':

Well she's together!

1done2.jpg

I have always thought the Marlin 60 is a hansome rifle, this color does not hurt it's classic lines.

1done1.jpg

Here is the replacement scope. It's a NcSTAR SCA420B (4 X 20) and cost a whopping $10 + 6.75 shipping.

Early review; not sure it's worth all that money!

1scopebill.jpg

Next step is to sling some lead and zero the new scope!

Cane, I worried over a dent, You go and make a silk purse, out of a old clunker. I got to see how this thing shoots. Hurry the heck up. I have a stevens 954 (Savage 64) I hate it's looks. Guess what is going to happen to it. You are an insane inspiration. That is a compliment. I can see JD's envy now. He'll be building something.

I did not use a primer on the metal, bad mistake. The paint can said I didn't need primer but I'll bet by the end of the summer the barrel will have bare spots.

I think I could have spent a little more on the scope but I'll wait until I get her to the range before I condemn my incredible outlay for the NcSTAR!

I think the finished product is a worthy result for a week-end project!
