That seriously sucks. Timed breaks are essential for prone. Sorry about your glass, too.

Sounds like a great day, though.

Yep, it was a very good day. The R.O. kept the pace at the fireing lines "brisk" for lack of better words and the limited time at the fireing lines was challenging yet fun. I had my dope for the different yardage distances and they were pretty close. The dope for POI was fairly right on until the 500 yard line which the elevation was about 6 mills high. My developed ammo is blazing at a tad over 3000 FPS M.V. (aparently a tad flatter trajectory than the lighter bullets) and thats with a 210 grain Berger target bullet. Only a coupe or so shots to correct and adjust dope to land one on the 10 or the X ring. The wind was fluxuating between 8 MPH to 15 MPH and didnt experience problems with windage until the 500 yard line. Windage is my evident weakness for this long range disiplin.

I've got to get a couple of items of gear to make this more comfortable, especially something better than a ball cap truned around while getting my eye on the scope. I pitched the ball cap I had as it was a pain in the arse. Got a bit of a sun burn on the back of my scalp where my hair is thinning. I think a dew rag will work well. Protect my scalp from sun burn and keep the sweat out of my eyes.

My partner and I have almost the exact same rifles, ammo and optics. But our dope is VERY different. And our velocities are very close.

But it is fun to fine tune. Just make copious notes about the atmospheric conditions and each rd fired and your dope will become second nature after a while.

But bummer about that glass.

Yeah, Yeah, Yeah. New Elite Iron "Max" Brake is on the way. The scope is at Premier Reticles as of today. They'll have the scope back to me in leas than 14 days, or so they claim. The novelty of the red gel coat stock is wearing off for me. I think the naked women air brush theme is coming soon for it.

Looking at gettind a BAT custom reciever and having a 260 cal. built next

A person can never have enough rifles. Or: Nothing exceedes like excess.

Take your pick. My firearm addiction has just jumped light years

I want a 260 built on a Surgon action. I have thought about doing everything flat black on it. It would be my Stealth rifle.

BTW I think the stock looks effing sweet myself. I would leave it alone and do the lady camo job on the next one.

I think I will save the naked lady scheme for the next one and leave this one alone.

The 260 is pretty good for TBRC. The 243 is a bit better but it eats up barrels, as I have herd.
