Default My new Gun Belt

Now most of you know that Lady Glass is making my gun belt rig for Cowboy Action Shooting. Well she has finished the belt and is working now on the holster and it is about 2/3rds finished. Here are a few pictures of my belt. Please understand that it has been drying for two days but is still wet with oil and will still need about a week or so to dry out. Glass did a pretty nice job if I do say so myself.

Linda, that is an outstanding belt!

The only thing I'd add is a small patch of timber rattler hide!

That's a great belt. Awesome work Glass!

Scub that looks great. I am going to make one for me, because no one makes a cowboy rig like that for a 1911. So I have to do it myself.

Did Glass use a generic belt and tool it, or did she cut it from bulk? I love the Texas Ranger style.

"A strong body makes the mind strong. As to the species of exercises, I advise the gun. While this gives moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprise and independence to the mind. Games played with the ball, and others of that nature, are too violent for the body and stamp no character on the mind. Let your gun therefore be your constant companion of your walks."

Very nice work. You can see that it's taken some time to do.
