A Big Thanks to "Enoc".

Managed to have a free time and borrowed some tools from a friend.
I don't have any handyman skills but i'm glad this project turned out great.
Can't wait to test them out.. hopefully on Thanksgiving day :).

I spent around <$100. Can't remember how much exactly. Included the PVC pipe glue and a bag of clamps. Modified some measurements from the guide. Also i use round wood instead of flat wood. As the flat wood aren't strong enough and won't fit into the pipes. I work for a restaurant so i kinda have unlimited supply for a big boxes which i can cut them down. Or get them from Walmart :)

Good work! I'm sure others will be inspired, I especially like how easily they can be put up and taken down.

Ondonk, very nice. good job! and i bet you don't have a lot of money tied up in making them either.:D

also try Office Depot or a UPS Store for the cardboard. or a furniture store that sells large appliances.

Thx. A big thx for that forum member, Enoc. Yes i really can't wait to test them out this Thanksgiving morning. Will post some more pics and do range report.

FYI, you don't have to use the clamps. If you have all purpose or light duty staple, staple the paper target to the wood. The staples will hold them strong enough.

Good job!
May I offer the suggestion to drill holes near the ends for those inexpensive tent stakes? I picked up a package of 4 for less than $5 at Wallyworld.
When the wind is blowing, the stakes (drilled at an angle) help to keep the light stands in place.

Good idea. Thx!! :)

3 Attachment(s)
I've been working on my steel targets for awhile. I got lazy and they have been sitting there at work. I'm going to make 3 rows of targets. One row will stand up and hopefully I will be able to reset them. The other 2 rows will be hanging.

As you can see the white one in the middle couldn't handle a 30-06(oooops). So, it will only be pistols and .22s.

Thanks. Me and my cousin have been talking about making some targets. He made some already, but I was hoping to go a step further. As you can see the 30-06 hole in the target. I need to go with a harder steel. The target is 1/2" A36 steel which won't stop the 30-06! I was trying to make a shooting gallery of any caliber. I haven't completed the reset targets which aren't pictured. I really like your set up. That is alot easier to make and less expensive. Just in the materials I have bought so far I'm at $120 and I need a couple more pieces, which I hope won't be a lot!!:).

As long the total cost not more than $200, i think u r gtg. If it's more, maybe might as well get 3/8 ar500 plates and stand.
