Mossberg carving.
Carved this into the original stock. I went a little deeper than I really wanted to on the duck side, but had to in order to get the detail. I believe there is still plenty of meat though. THis was a fun project.

Wow, that is absolutely amazing. Good job on that. Wish I could learn to do something like this.

It is just like anything else xcoreyyxxx, it is all abiut having the right tools, and lots of practice. I wish I could paint some of my carvings.

Thanks for all the kind words. I do not know how long it took. A few hours per side. It can all be done in a good day, if the wife and kids let me get to it. The hardest part is coming up with a design. And sometimes I want to chop stuff up and throw it away, cause I am so tough on myself. My brother got me into doing it. I was making other things like guitars, and he told me to try guns. I would make more money. A guy at a gunshow, told me that if I could make custom grips he would sell them. So I have been experimenting on mine, my family's, and friends guns. It is so much more fun than guitars! The problem is it is never ending, make some nice grips, and everything else needs to be redone, etc. It is turning out to be a fun hobby.
