Kinda DIY

I picked this up a little while back and found a stock to tweak so the original factory one is unmolested. Judicious use of epoxy and JB Weld to change the contours and a "patented" wooden for end in the front.

Rained today and I'm off so I started some load development using 2400 and Reloder 10x. No published data for the 10X so it took some time, calculation and a few calls to Alliant to come up with. I was only checking for pressure signs so no targets yet. Everything looks good with the primers and cases, no sticky bolt lift but I can definitely tell the difference in "bark" between the 2400 and the 10X, especially at 19 grains.

Added a Callahan aluminum firing pin and bolt shroud which really cut the lock time to a noticeable degree. Ordered a Burris 2-7 scope this morning and I can almost feel the sun in the woodchuck fields.

Cool, very Star Wars. Please post up a range report, those have always intrigued me.

Thanks, I've always thought of Star Wars too, and Bob Milek articles when I was a kid.

I really want to get a target out but weather is not cooperating. In Sacramento I doubt you get to enjoy the treat of 35 degree weather, rain, and 4 feet of snow on the ground all at the same time.

I can however shoot out my back door, carry a gun anywhere except federal property, open or concealed, with no permit and buy any firearm I want with no waiting period. I'll trade you, but only until late May. :D

Hell, I am almost in Canada! I have a "guest house" if you need a vacation from the socialist republic. I lived in San Francisco for a while when I was in the service the first time. Almost went crazy. My condolences.
