Yeah, I know, but I was on vaca for 8 of those.

The truth is I called Krieger and they are backlogged on barrels and they are producing boltgun barrels at a clip of about 7:1 against their AR stuff. I have been saving the green as much as possible over the past months with the rollercoaster economy ride and then we had the trip that was pre-paid 8 months ago, but still had incidentals.

I forsee a gloomy morning on Nov. 5th - so I plan on finishing this piece up before the end of the year, just in case.

More to follow....

Back to work JD, I'm now building my AR vicariously through you.

Yeah, I'm working on it. Christmas is coming though, and I damn near walked off the job today. Looking for a new as I type this actually. I get this thing moving before the end of the year. I promise....

Well, the decision had to be made. I have been stalling, trying to get a read on the future with the new AWB looking and how fast it will be put into place.

I have decided to scrap the Grendel idea and make this project into an 18" or 20" AR in 5.56/.223 standard.

With all the foreshadowing on the wall, I have decided adding another caliber to reload for just isn't a sound investment at this point. I have ( 2 ) AR's in 5.56/.223 - both are purpose built, so this will round out the purposes, longer range, and it will still allow me to keep stocking up on one type of ammo.

The Grendel will have to wait a couple more years until we get some real 2A people in positions of power. In the meantime, I am just going to fortify what I have and make sure I am well equipped in case of....

JD

In response (actually casting aspersions) to cpttango30 and my dialogue of binary conversion in another thread;

Things seem to have stagnated. Any progress as of late?
