Hammer Condoms?

Handy Tip - Vinyl vacuum line caps are a creative way to dampen sharp edges and make hammers less “snag” prone. Caps cost pennies, and are available at most auto parts locations.

Having one of those slip off while you're cocking the pistol is a ND waiting to happen.

No thanks.

Same here. Glad I took the chance. Might be worth a look.

Heat shrink for electrical wiring would also work. Heat shrink for underground applications has epoxy in it. The phone man has plenty of outdoor/underground heat shrink in a variety of colors. Ask nicely, maybe bring him some coffee or tea according to weather would be enough for him to leave some scraps for you.

Appreciate tips, I'm on the fence with this one tho'

I am one that would want to ensure that no ND, AD or TS* occurs if the hammer falls. I would prefer to debur any sharp edges before slipping a boner-balloon on the pin pounder of the primer-pricker

*TS = Thumb Slip
