I try to clean every time I shoot. Sometimes I wait a few days before I get to it. .22's and AK's sometimes get shot twice before cleaning.

Just ask them for an unused one. Pay them for it if they want. NEVER use a needle that has been used by anyone else. I use the same type for alergy shots (2 each week), they cost hardly anything. I hadn't thought of using them as oil dispensers before, but now I will. Thanks for the tip.

I clean my guns everytime I shoot them no matter how many rounds. I seldom fire less than 50 rounds, so the weapon gets cleaned. I don' think it hurts them to be cleaned.
I use Hoppes with a copper brush first. then run a bore rag thru the weapon. I finish with a patch and a little Rem oil.

I've been using round toothpicks as oil applicators...dipped in the oil they put one drop exactly where you want it...

I clean the Ruger 9 mm about every 500 rounds or after I fire corrosive ammo. I clean the 38 revolver about every 100 rounds, or after I fire corrosive ammo.

I use the Hoppes 9 by spraying into the barrells of both and the cylinder of the revolver. I let it sit, and then go through with a brass brush, and patches until dry.

A touch of oil on the rails of the semi, and a lightly oiled patch into the barrels.

Reassemble and wipe down the frames of both and I am done.

Default oilers

I have several for lubricating cables on motorcycles, most any cycle shop should have them.

Default Gun Cleaning

I normally fire 3 to 4 weapons every weekend. I clean each of them completely after every firing. It makes for a good afternoon in the man cave listening to music, or watching a man movie.
