Default Guitar gun case.

Well as the title states I started a new project to while I wait for my new upper for my ar15. The waits getting long but I found a new project to do in the mean time. First off I bought a guitar case off amazon for forty bucks that was made out of wood an thought that would be the place to start. First I removed all the cloth an misc parts that they put in it to hold the guitar. Next I removed some screws that held a couple compartments an cut them down so they wouldn't be in the way later. Next I starred with the spray expanding foam an put about an inch down an let it get hard. The reason why i did this in layers was to make sure I wasn't leaving big air pockets as when I go to cut out the areas I don't want to have holes. It took about five cans an four layers to get the foam to the top of the guitar case. I'm now letting it cure for a couple days as there is bout five inches or more of spray foam. I thought about using sheet insulation an layering it but didn't think bout that til after I had already started. In the end I've figured out I can do the lid an hold mags bipod an my Ruger LCP an not be rubbing on any other gun. On the bottom it's long enough I will put a ar15 with a 24 inch upper an my SW M&P 40 an my SW SD 40 with some extra space. People may ask why I decided to do this an I thought well I havent really seen one first hand nor have I really head of anyone doing it. I also live in a apartment complex where carrying two pistol cases an a bigger case for my ar15 doesn't really look good. I hope people find this interesting an hope I'm not the only one. If you ever want me to play my guitar just ask. Below are some pictures from the start an I will update this as I get more done.

It's so much easier to use a soft-side guitar case.

Fender Bass soft-side:

I like canebrake's idea. Lots of storage too.

you could have gone to a supply store gotten X amounts of foam sheets glued them together then cut out the shapes of you items out and just glued the foam into the case. Honestly I like your idea it interesting, I'm curious to see how it turns out.

hell yea bump. this is perfect if you live in an apt complex. the last thing you need is a 100 of eyes glued on you when you walk down the stairs with a big ass gun case.
