I am looking at a DTI lower but know nothing about this company. Dose anyone know anything about them?

yes. I think that is correct. when I goggle DTI thats what I get for a site is Del-Tron

Yeah, Del-Ton has been doing this a long time. They are not super exclusive high end or anything, but for a lower receiver they are perfectly fine.

The basic function of a lower receiver is to keep all the moving parts in close formation.

There is nothing wrong with a Del Ton lower that would leave you dead in a ditch on Judgement Day regardless of what anyone tries to tell you.

ok ... great. thanks for the info. this is going to be my first build but didn't want something that could not be fixed if something went wrong.

The lower only really serves to keep the important parts together. As long as the holes line up and the thing is to spec, it will be fine. The big knock is it's not CNC machined out of a solid block of 7075 Aluminum and stuff like that.

I ran an Olympic Arms lower FOR EVER and if you do any reading on the all mighty interwebz you will see that is DISASTER waiting to befall me as the poor fool who bought Olympic.

Get a lower that meets your price range and that you like. From there put in good quality parts and understand how they work. When you shoot the weapon, clean the weapon and inspect the parts for wear and tear.

Simple.

You'll be fine. At the top of the AR section there are several helper threads that can answer every question and then some.
