Default Custom 10mm 1911 build

Anyone have experience with building a 10mm 1911? Been thinking about this as my next project. I like the 10mm and think the 1911 is best shooting pistol platform around. Been having trouble finding parts online. Anybody know any good sites? Any other advice is welcomed too.

Shouldn't be too bad. I'm not talking match grade kimber or Wilson combat quality. Just decent in 10mm. Maybe for a sidearm for deer season.

A little bit of history on Bob Serva of Fusion Firearms.
He used to own Dan Wesson before CZ bought it.
His Razorback 10mm was and is a very good 10mm.

I've used frames from DW and Fusion Firearms with minimal modifications (when building, use Ed Brown parts).

Thanks for the info. Do you have any experience with the 10mm build.

I have a C-BOB in 10mm.
I've also had Delta Elites in the past.

It should be almost like a .45 build, but with a 25# main spring and a 22# recoil.

Right I knew the springs were different just wasn't sure if I could use parts from ed brown as they don't make 10mm barrels. Thanks for the info ill look into it.

Any opinions on a commander model 10mm? I've got a couple gov't model and want a commander but I'm afraid it's too small of the high pressure round.
