THAT you own guns is the issue. Not how many. You'll talk.

If I had to guess, they'd start with CC permit holders. That would be a sure thing, no? We'll, except for one of my buddies….he went and got his CC, at least 2 years ago, and still doesn't have ANY guns, LOL.

simply put, i have no intentions whatsoever of complying with a national gun registration.
The only firearms that I have registered are my pistols as per NY's laws. That will change shortly after my family and I relocate. Found a nice old farm house in eastern Ohio listed at $49,000 under assessed value. In negotiations with my bank now, and if they give me the go ahead we are out of here the morning after school lets out for summer. I can use the weekends and vacations to move things in aone load at a time.

For my true feeling on NY, just look at my avatar.

If I was a no good gun grabbing liberal, I would start with the CCers in the cities. You know who and where they are in addition to what they have. As for the rest of us in the sticks, we have an ace in the hole. Namely, the inner city gangs who will certainly keep the grabbers busy long enough for us to bug out or hide what we own. At that point, sit back, turn on the tube, and make some popcorn. Shoul be an interesting show.

Or the simple method, "What guns? I lost all my guns during a terrible boating accident last year."

Thank Axxe.

Hoping the bank says yes, but I am not getting my hopes up yet.I am on a fixed income, and the house is still listed at $89,000 so we will see what happens from there. Add to that that I am still doing damage control and rebuilding my credit after my divorce, and I am more nervous than a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs. Right now it's just wait and see, if it is a no, there are other less expensive properties in the area that we have looked at.

The bright side is, my sister and her brood have offered to share expenses and quarters due to the fact that with just the 3 of us and the dog a 6 bedroom in Amish country is overkill. Add to that 15 acres of woods, 2 pastures, and a large barn, if I do get it, we won't out grow it for a long time. It is big enough that we are thinking about putting a second dwelling on the property at some point, and just turning it in to a family compound of sorts.

Keeping our fingers crossed, and sending up some serious prayers. Right now that's all we can do.
