A lower is a lower is a lower to quote my brother from the PNW. 7.62 shares the opinion (informed opinion that is) of most on here. As long as she is forged and not cast, and from a reputable manufacturer...it will be good to go. Couple of lessons learned though:
Finish "color" is not always the same. If you have an upper in mind, and you dont want an unintentional "two tone"...make sure they match.
Now there are LPKs and then there are LPKs (lower parts kits). Some appear they have been forged in Cane's garage, some are high quality. Use caution if building your own, good quality springs/ components are a must. An AR lower is essentially a spring wound bullet launcher wrapped in an aluminum housing that holds it all together.
