The top one looks like the Springfield 1903a type stock with those markings and placement. The cut out on the left side is for the magazine cutoff lever.

I believe you are correct thanks alot you saved me the trouble of going through the ww2 era guns.
Any more info anyone has on either one would be great.
I know I can get parts for the 1903 and I have had quite a bit of fun shooting one before. The marking on the side is driving me nuts though.

I'm thinking the other is a Winchester 270 but I have no experience with them so I'm just guessing.

thanks for the link looks like it was a Raritan Arsenal rebuild still seems some markings are missing and a couple are odd
