92FS buffer tech....

So I just installed a Buffer tech stainless guide rod n buffer to my new 92fs along with some new hogue grips to trim down the recoil a bit. But after installing the new guide rod n reassembling the gun I notice the rod pokes out just a little bit, I would say just about a mm worth. If anyone has any thoughts on this, your words would be very appreciated.

Welcome to the forum. Next time you log in, go to our "Introductions" area and say "Hi".

I have this thing against buffers in the recoil spring area. They can mask other problems or create problems.

Did your 92 come with a buffer originally?

No is came with this stock plastic guide rod that puts very little pressure on the barrel catch which made the barrel be able to actually move around after every shot making it not extremely inaccurate but slightly.

Where would the introductory page be?

How many rounds (approx) do you have through the handgun?
Have you tried a new recoil spring?

This pups fairly new I've actually put only 100 ends through her myself, and no I just received the buffer yesterday and haven't really thought about replacing the spring.

FYI I found the introductory page. Thanx

Run it with the buffer for awhile.
But keep an eye on it. Buffers have been known to break apart and create problems.
