Myself and a bunch of guys from work(custom bearing machine shop) order ten of these from quinten-laser and machined the fire control pockets ourselves on the cnc mill and they were ready for anodize. I will post a pic with the anodize. All the blue print info is out there for any do it yourselfers.

Go to http://quentin-laser.com/store/index.php?cPath=27. For 100$ all you have to do is machine out the trigger pocket and pin holes then anodize the rest is done. They work amazing and do not have to be serialized I you build them yourself for yourself

Also they are billet aluminum not cast

Man thats cool. I was not aware that anything like this even existed. I am also a machinist and it would be so easy to finish these. How is the quality of the lower? Is the same or better quality as the normal run of the mill lower? I might order a few just as a project but for the long run the extra work isn't worth it when I can buy a 100% done lower for the same price from psa. Unless the quality is better then its worth it.

I feel that because they are billet aluminum the quality is definitely better. The mag well is already cut and mags fit great. Depending on how well you machine the fire control pocket will make or break the project. I used a cnc haas mill and knocked ten out if a few hours. I will never buy another lower from an ffl again because I legally finish my own. No paper trail. I would at least try one and see if you like it and hopefully you will feel the same. Good luck

I think I will all the cnc we have are either haas or mori I personally like the mori more but haas doesn't really bother me. Do you still have the program you wrote for it?

Do you have to use a cnc?

I do have it on mastercam but not sure if it is still in the haas
