Default winchester model 94...

I am currently working on a mod (undo)...I have a model 94 45LC with a large loop finger lever and I am wanting to put a standard finger lever back on. I have an opportunity to buy an inexpensive used part so my question is this, does it matter what caliber the model 94 post 64 the finger lever I use comes from? I can find a used lever for a 30-30 for a reasonable price, I just hate wasting time.

Welcome to the forum! Stop by our introductions area and say "Hi".

Now on to your question. There should not be that much difference, but, with the 30-30 length vs the 45LC length, there could be some because of the distance required for the "throw".

It should not be a problem, but to go from 45LC to 30-30 could be.

Measure twice before fitting.

Or go to this site and look up the part number for both levers and see if the part numbers are the same. then you would know for sure.

If the hand loop is different, would they have same part numbers?

They would be different but standard loops could be checked instead of one standard and one big loop.

The link you provided is for a pre-64 model 94 which certainly would be different than the OP's 45 Colt one.
