Hi,

I'm new to the forum and currently working on a project in which I plan to use a barrel from a Winchester 1300. I'll be making a new Barrel Extension for the project but I need to remove the factory installed Barrel Extension. Has anyone out there done this before ? Are they Left or Right Handed threads ? I'm certain this is a question for someone that is a Gunsmith or had worked in the Winchester plant and is familiar with the barrels assembly. Thank You in advance.

I believe that the 1400 Semi Auto Barrels are similar and of course every other model of Winchester Pump that was the same such as the Ranger 120 & 1200 models.

Welcome to FTF. Should be standard thread but I haven't done it.

I'm sure it's a standard thread pitch and once I get it apart I'll be able to check what that pitch and diameter is. What I need to know is if it's a Left or Right Hand Thread. I'm sure it was assembled with the force of Two Men & a Boy plus an Ass .... I don't need to make it any tighter on the ought set of trying to remove it. I appreciate the response but I need real information ....

Any former employees may know if Winchester had a special assembly socket (I'm sure they did) any useful information would be greatly appreciated.
